Shahroz Hossain is a seasoned financial risk executive providing multi-disciplinary oversight of capital markets and treasury. Currently Vice President and Head of Capital Markets Risk Management for CIBC’s US Region, Shahroz is recognized for his expertise in Market, Traded Credit, Operational, and Liquidity Risk, as well as his effective regulatory engagement with bodies such as the FRB, OSFI, and the PRA. Throughout his career, Shahroz has led high-performing, diverse teams and championed innovative solutions, including the integration of Gen AI and machine learning in risk analysis. His leadership has driven strategic transformation, enhanced regulatory compliance, and improved employee engagement. Shahroz is also committed to talent development and equity, diversity, and inclusion, mentoring next-generation risk leaders across the industry. He holds a B.A.Sc. in Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto and brings a unique blend of thought leadership and innovation to risk management.
