About the speaker

Eric Hirschhorn is the Head of Corporate Engineering as well as a member of the firm’s Global Engineering Executive Committee. Within Corporate Engineering Eric leads technology and solution delivery across risk management, compliance/financial crime, finance, treasury, corporate investments, human capital management and more. This portfolio of activity is critical in how the firm manages our people experience, and regulatory commitments. AI is also a major focus of Eric’s work where significant opportunity exists to apply it across Corporate Engineering to enhance productivity, strengthen decision-making, and improve how the firm operates. Prior to taking on Corporate Engineering, Eric has been BNY’s Chief Data Officer since 2020. Prior to joining BNY in November 2020, Eric was the Chief Information Officer for BGC Partners. He possesses a plethora of fintech expertise having served in numerous senior roles on Wall Street, such as Global Head of Rates and FICC eTrading Technology at Bank of America, Chief Technology Officer for Fixed Income at Morgan Stanley and as Managing Director at Citi in electronic trading. Eric earned his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in New York, New York.
