About the speaker

Evan Fire is a Managing Principal, Chief Operating Officer, and member of the firm's Executive Committee. Mr. Fire joined Pzena Investment Management in 2003 and has held progressive leadership roles throughout his tenure, including Chief Information & Operations Officer and Chief Information Security Officer. In those capacities, he was responsible for oversight of the Portfolio Accounting, Portfolio Implementation, Trading & Settlement, and Information Technology groups. Today, his mandate spans those areas as well as Human Resources, Compliance, Legal, Marketing Operations, and Office Facilities. Mr. Fire founded and leads Pzena's AI Center of Excellence, the firm's initiative to embed artificial intelligence across the organization. His work focuses on translating AI's potential into practical capability — giving investment professionals tools that sharpen their work without compromising the governance standards that institutional clients expect. He also chairs the firm's Risk Committee, with responsibility for operational and reputational risk oversight across the enterprise. Throughout his career, Mr. Fire has helped Pzena navigate the evolving intersection of corporate operations, technology, and cybersecurity — implementing solutions designed to drive operational efficiency and developing strategy to address growing regulatory demands. Prior to joining Pzena Investment Management, he served as a Relationship Management Assistant at Brown Brothers Harriman and as a Client Service Representative at Sanford C. Bernstein & Company. Mr. Fire earned a B.S. in Management and Finance from the School of Management Honors Program at Binghamton University.
